There were Mk II Speedmasters shared on TimeZone years ago that received the same treatment . . .

. . . with equally impressive results. If memory serves correctly there was an outfit in the UK that modified racing dial Mk IIs for reasonable cost. 👌🏼

This one's up next to wear: my custom made "DLC Racing Japan"

I know that collectors might have mixed feelings about what happened here, but I liked the outcome of it: Omega Speedmaster ref. ST 145.022 with the cal. 861 with the "racing dial" and DLC coating of the case and the 1479 bracelet. Cheers, HSTE

This is the racing dial yes

I actually use the the Chrono a lot because of how confident I am in its reliability. I have had watched where the Chrono broke or reset off center. As far as reading it I always prefer single counters with two hands like any clock. IWC omega excel at thi

My DSOM Apollo 8 for Speedy Tuesday

Hi all this watch seems to take most of the wrist time of late and with good reason IMHO. As Chronometer asked it is also a racing dial speedy as well as being ultra modern with the ceramic case and yet harks back to the original speedy with its manual wo

Interestingly enough, while I don't have any pics of a current racing dial Speedy . . .

. . . there are loads of moon phase photos in my files. Rarely seen yellow gold version. Art

For the pleasure of sharing a recent find...

A watch I had never paid attention before, this Speedmaster Mk II ref 145.014 from late 1969 or beginnings 1970 made me fall in love at first sight. This is the version equipped with a grey Racing dial. A bit funky indeed but so lovely I feel. Same moveme
